Strategic Injury Prevention Partnership (SIPP)
Terms of Reference
The Strategic Injury Prevention Partnership (SIPP) is a subcommittee of the National Public Health Partnership (NPHP). SIPP has been formed to oversee implementation of the Plan. Its Terms
of Reference for performing this role are to:

Provide a forum for national leadership in injury prevention in Australia;

Report and make recommendations to the Public Health Partnership
through the Secretariat;

Develop and implement strategies relating to the Action Plan and
strategic planning for the longer term;

Provide strategic direction consistent with evidence on injury prevention,
seek expert input as required and develop responses to emerging issues
and priorities in injury prevention;

Develop a methodology of principles and processes for the sustainable
implementation of injury prevention strategies;

Foster strong partnerships and communication links between relevant
sectors, within and between jurisdictions and use opportunities for
strategic partnerships and collaboration in the prevention of injury;
and
- With key stakeholders, promote a consistent, integrated approach
to injury prevention, including monitoring and evaluation across all
areas of government.
