Terms of Reference

The Terms of Reference for the PPWP are to, in collaboration with states, territories, consumers and carers:

• Provide advocacy, support and leadership for prevention, promotion and early intervention as a major platform of the Second National Mental Health Plan;

• Develop and support implementation of national policy on promotion, prevention and early intervention for mental health;

• Consult on ongoing review of prevention and promotion action plan as a scientific and living document, incorporating the latest initiatives;

• Liaise with Auseinet to encourage, facilitate and monitor the development and implementation of mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention initiatives at the state and territory level; and

• Develop necessary monographs and resources to support prevention, promotion and early intervention and relapse prevention.
