The report examines this difficult area of public health law, which needs to strike a balance between protection of the community and protection of individual liberty. The report has been drafted as Part 2 of the Notifiable Diseases Project. Part 1 being the paper on Notifiable Diseases and Notification Mechanisms, approved by AHMAC in November 2000, and also available on the NPHP Website.
