Joint Working Group on Healthy Ageing (JOHA)

The Joint Working Group on Healthy Ageing was established as an initiative of the NPHPG and the Positive Ageing Task Force. The collaboration responds to the endorsement by Community Services and Health Ministers of the National Public Health Partnership as an appropriate mechanism to contribute to the progress of the population health agenda of the Commonwealth, State and Territory Strategy on Healthy Ageing (March, 2001).

The Terms of Reference for the Working Group focus on developing the healthy ageing agenda with particular reference to public health and health and wellbeing, and the need to identify appropriate mechanisms and working
arrangements.
