National Surveillance Committee (NSC)
Brief summary including goals and objectives
The NSC Terms of Reference are:
- To develop policy and processes relating to national reporting of
notifiable diseases to the Commonwealth, and from the Commonwealth to
other National Centres;
- To work toward national consistency in reporting of notifiable diseases
between jurisdictions, the Commonwealth and other National Centres;
- To identify and address deficiencies in current surveillance processes;
and
- To advise and respond to the CDNA and CDNA subcommittees on issues
relating to strategic planning and processes for the national surveillance
of communicable disease.
