Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Injury Prevention Action CommitteeIn recognition of the extremely high rates of injury in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the National Public Health Partnership established the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Injury Prevention Action Committee (ATSIIPAC) in September 2002, to provide a forum for leadership in injury prevention amongst Indigenous people in Australia.National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Safety Promotion Strategy The Draft National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Safety Promotion Strategy has been developed by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Injury Prevention Action Committee (ATSIIPAC) to address the specific safety promotion and injury prevention needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The NPHP is currently seeking endorsement of the Strategy by the Australian Health Ministers' Advisory Council.
