The National CATI TRG is an advisory sub-committee of the National Public Health Information Working Group (NPHIWG). It provides a focus for the development and promotion of national standards, valid methods and capacity for CATI surveys to improve health surveillance and health outcomes.

The National CATI TRG comprises representation from:

• All state and territory health departments
• The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing
• The Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and the Public Health Information Development Unit

In addition, the New Zealand health department is an observer to the CATI TRG.
